The Ford Mustang Bullitt skyrocketed to fame following its appearance in the Steve McQueen film of the same name, after which FoMoCo has produced special edition tribute models across multiple pony car generations. That includes the more modern S197, which was produced in relatively scant numbers and is a bonafide collector’s item in today’s market already, not terribly long after it was sold new. Now, this 2009 Ford Mustang Bullitt gives us another nice, low-mile example to consider.
That’s because this Ford Mustang Bullitt is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer, and it has a mere 7k miles showing on the odometer. It’s also one of just 810 examples produced in the 2009 model year, though it has bounced around a bit over the years, living in multiple states under two owners. Regardless, those owners did take great care of the car, as it’s in stellar condition with perfect Dark Highland Green Metallic paint.
The same goes for the immaculate Dark Charcoal leather interior, which features amenities such as a power-adjustable driver’s seat, the Shaker 500 sound system, keyless entry, cruise control, and air conditioning. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to generate 315 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Given what we’ve seen in the past, this super-nice Ford Mustang Bullitt should command a solid hammer price at auction, as we haven’t seen a lot of S197 examples pop up for sale as of late. However, we did come across a 2008 with 4k miles on the clock back in March, and it wound up selling for just over $35k.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
