There was a time – not terribly long ago – when EV fever was a real thing, and lots of folks were lining up and paying big bucks for the privilege of becoming an early adopter in that regard. However, things have changed dramatically in recent months, as inventory has grown and those early adopters have exited the market. As a result – and coupled with an overall slowdown in demand – the Ford F-150 Lightning continues to receive new, enticing incentives, making select, leftover 2023 models a pretty fantastic deal.
The latest lease deal for the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning was recently spotted by CarsDirect, and amazingly enough, makes it almost exactly the same price as the Ford Maverick. With demand for the Maverick remaining high, the compact pickup hasn’t been treated to many incentives since it launched. This means that right now, in New York, a 2024 Maverick XL can be leased for $368 per month for 36 months with $2,989 due at signing, which gives it an effective monthly cost of $451.
However, in that same state, one can also lease a 2023 F-150 Lightning XLT with the Standard Range battery for $452 per month with zero due at signing – a mere one dollar more than the Maverick. This is possible due to the significant $9,500 in rebates currently available for the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, and as of right now, there is still reportedly a solid amount of inventory out there for the picking, too.
Just a couple of days ago, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning was treated to an extended zero percent financing offer for up to 72 months. In April, the 2023 Ford Lightning XLT Standard Range received a lease deal at $499 per month over 36 months with 10 percent down, and a month later, lease pricing was slashed by more than $400 just in time for Memorial Day, making it cheaper to lease than its ICE counterpart. Then, just last month, the XLT and Lariat models with the extended range battery were treated to a $2,500 incentive, too.
