Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024 Ford F-150 models due to an issue with windshield bonding.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, “Windshield Mounting.”
The hazards: a windshield that detaches from a vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2024 Ford F-150 models produced between April 28th, 2024, and May 2nd, 2024.
Number of vehicles affected: 4,361
The fix: dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin July 8th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24C20.
