2025 Ford Escape Ditches Two Colors

While the 2025 Ford Escape gains one new color, that fresh hue comes at the expense of two other colors that were previously available for the crossover’s 2024 model year but can no longer be ordered on the 2025 Escape.

2021 Ford Escape in Iconic Silver Metallic (JS)

2024 Ford Escape in Race Red (PQ)

Those two colors are Iconic Silver Metallic (paint code JS) and Race Red (paint code PQ). The latter, Iconic Silver Metallic, was first introduced for the 2021 Ford Escape, and was one of a handful of no-cost color options available for the crossover. Meanwhile, Race Red had a much shorter run. This hue was new for the 2024 Escape as another no-cost option offered on select trim levels, but now, it’s no longer available, either.

It’s worth noting that along with the minor alterations to its color lineup, the 2025 Ford Escape is subject to several feature deletions, such as the elimination of ambient lighting inside, which was previously standard on ST-Line Elite and Platinum trims. The ST-Line no longer features aluminum pedals, either, nor does it sport body color moldings to compliment its exterior. Instead, they now feature molded-in-color (MIC) body moldings. Finally, the 2025 Ford Escape range also ditches the spare tire in favor of an inflator kit – at least in non-hybrid variants.

Aside from that, the crossover soldiers on largely unchanged. As a reminder, the Ford Escape underwent a substantial refresh for the 2023 model year, overhauling its trim level lineup and packing the crossover with handy tech features like Sync 4.

Pricing for the 2025 Ford Escape starts at $29,490, including destination freight charges, for the base Active trim, while on the other side of the spectrum, opting for the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) bumps the starting price tag to $39,895. Production is handled at the Louisville Assembly plant in Kentucky.

  2. No wonder the sales are terrible compared to its rivals. Unlike some foreign competitors and improve your product and give the people a reason to buy instead, just cancel that product and hope u can sell the next one.

  5. Farley is pursuing a strategy of self destruction. Keep eroding value. Then declare he was right about not needing the Escape or Edge. Congrats Jim, you just chased customers away from the highest volume market segments

  7. The Escape was the only Ford product We bought as it’s the size Ise both wanted . My 23 Escape Platinum Hybrid is OK, great mpg, but no interior lighting or Remote Ford Pass, as the car is always in battery saver mode , started after only 2 months, add to that the cheap interior and the high price, and they have no decent exterior colors. We are going to trade both our Ford products in for a Chevy and. Buick soon. Better color choices and much nicer interiors where the touch screen is actually integrated and not stuck in the middle like a last minute item. Plus , I can buy a Chevy or Buick for less than my Z plan. Never buying another boring bland overpriced poor quality Ford product again.
