2025 Ford Expedition King Ranch Shows Off Bronze Wheels, LED Lighting

Over the past several months, Ford Authority has spotted several 2025 Ford Expedition prototypes out testing, wearing less and less camouflage as time goes by. Most recently, we’ve gotten a very good look at the updated front end design slated for the refreshed full-size SUV, which – as expected – somewhat mimics the one present on the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150, with which the Expedition shares a platform. Now, we’re getting yet another look at the 2025 Ford Expedition, the time, with some different features.

This 2025 Ford Expedition features the more luxurious King Ranch trim, which we’re now seeing for the first time. What’s particularly interesting about this model is the abundance of bronze details, which include elements in the front grille and rear bumper, along with the wheels, which clearly separate the King Ranch from other trims we’ve laid eyes on thus far. It’s also a pretty big departure from the existing Expedition King Ranch, which is far more subtle in terms of its use of similar accents.

Also notable is the extensive use of LED lighting in the front grille – even more so than previously-spotted prototypes, and in this case, confirms that a full-width light bar will be present at the bottom of the grille, joining the two LED headlight signatures. Also notable is the fact that in the rear, we’re getting our first look at the location of the wiper, which has moved from the bottom portion of the glass to the top, as expected.

These updates join a host of others designed for the 2025 Ford Expedition refresh that Ford Authority has reported on over the past several months. In addition to its F-150 and (also refreshed) 2025 Ford Explorer influences on the outside, the 2025 Ford Expedition is expected to add a 24-inch wheel option to the lineup, along with a pair of new taillights. Inside the cabin, the refreshed 2025 Ford Expedition will feature a revamped design with new vents and a curved appearance, as well as a screen that’s similar to the 13.2-inch touchscreen present in the refreshed 2025 Explorer.

We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Expedition soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Expedition news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.

  1. I dont really care about 20″ wheels and LED lighting – both of which will cost a fortune to repair or replace. I DO care about when I’ll get to see the Powerboost Expedition. Surely to gosh they’ve settled on a release date by now? I’ll be first in line to replace my 2010 and 2014 expeditions!
