Over the past several months, Ford Authority has spotted a large number of 2025 Ford Maverick prototypes out testing – many of them devoid of any sort of camouflage – giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect for the compact pickup’s very first refresh. Now, the 2025 Ford Maverick has been revealed officially, and as it turns out, the incredibly popular model has received precisely the same updates that we’ve expected for some time now.
Those include a brand new front fascia that we’ve seen in multiple forms thus far, which features a unique design for each trim level – XL, XLT, Lariat, and the Tremor, which has officially upgraded from an optional package to a trim for the new year. The new front end features darkened LED headlamps, along with a revised front bumper, and grille, while higher trims get LED projector headlamps with signature lighting, and the Lariat comes with new 19-inch wheels.
The Black Package returns with some tweaks, and gets its own unique grille, a black roof, black Ford badges, and 19-inch gloss black wheels. Inside the cabin, new colors and materials are present on the door panels, instrument panel, console, and seats, while the Aspen Gray/Navy Pier theme trim on the XLT now comes with Grabber Blue accents, and the Lariat adds a Smoke Truffle theme with bronze accents.
The big news is the addition of Ford’s 13.2-inch infotainment screen as standard equipment, which replaces the old, outgoing eight-inch screen across the Maverick lineup and is paired with an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. The 2025 Ford Maverick also gets the automaker’s 360-Degree Camera, as well as Pro Trailer Hitch Assist as an option – though it and Pro Trailer Backup Assist are included as standard features on the Lariat and Tremor.
Additionally, the 2025 Ford Maverick comes standard with a bevy of Ford Co-Pilot360 features including Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Aid, a Rear View Camera, and Auto LED High-Beam Headlamps. Lariat and Tremor trimmed pickups also get Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centering, and Speed Sign Recognition, while the Tremor gets One-Pedal Drive as well.
Mechanically speaking, the 2025 Ford Maverick carries over largely unchanged, and continues to be available with a hybrid powertrain or the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost, though the electrified option is once again standard, rather than optional, as was previously the case. However, as Ford Authority previously reported, the Maverick Hybrid can now be paired with all-wheel drive for the very first time in XL, XLT, and Lariat-trimmed models, and it can even be combined with the optional 4K Tow Package.
The 2025 Ford Maverick starts out at $26,295, not including $1,595 for destination and delivery. Order banks for the refreshed pickup are slated to open up tomorrow, August 1st, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2024.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Maverick soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

The previous front end, now uglified. The dash looks like a downmarket Escape dash and that one is pretty downmarket to begin with. Screams “we went for the EV Pivot and got burned so now we have to overcharge for junk”.
Ford has done it again, announced a new maverick, getting everyone excited and ready to go this is the greatest news in automobile history. Now for the unreported hard facts price up to $45,000 order as soon as possible and you might get it by 2027 I tried to include the price markup but who knows my 23 ordered in October 2022 and received guaretee letter promising price protection when it finally arrived in 2024 and $2000 more will not honner letter way to go dearborn
Was that price guarantee from Ford or the dealer?
Current Maverick XL hybrid owner here with a technical question. Does anyone know whether the hybrid AWD system is powered by an electric motor in the rear, or does it have a conventional driveshaft and differential assembly? The 2 MPG fuel economy deficit makes me suspect the latter, but I can’t seem to find any technical information from Ford.
My 2025 is scheduled for production on 1/6/25. I’m excited about the vehicle but disappointed about the limited interior options. I had really hoped for the Desert Wind brown interior which is unavailable to go with my red truck.
