Over the past several months, Ford Authority has spotted a large number of 2025 Ford Maverick prototypes out testing, giving us a pretty solid look at what to expect from the compact pickup’s very first refresh. In fact, many of those prototypes weren’t wearing any camouflage at all, revealing all of the forthcoming exterior styling changes in their entirety. Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that we won’t have to wait much longer for the 2025 Ford Maverick to be officially revealed, either.
The 2025 Ford Maverick is set to be revealed on August 1st, in fact, which is just over a week away. On top of that, order banks for the refreshed pickup will open up on that same day, so those interested in placing one will be able to do so at that time, too. Those customers will find quite a few changes in store, which start on the outside, of course.
Up front, the 2025 Ford Maverick sports a revised front fascia with a new bumper and headlight design – one that has thus far proven to be somewhat controversial. Interestingly, Ford Authority has spotted a couple of sporty-looking Lariat models wearing unique bodywork and wheels as well, signaling the potential arrival of a performance-focused model, or perhaps just an appearance package of some sort.
Additionally, we can expect to see some new exterior colors added to the list of options for the 2025 Ford Maverick, as Ford Authority recently spotted one finished in Eruption Green. The Black Appearance Package is set to continue to be offered as part of the refresh, which is also true of the Tremor Off-Road Package – though a recently-spotted prototype was wearing Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT rubber, rather than the Falken Wildpeak A/T tires that are included as part of the package currently.
In terms of mechanicals, Ford Authority recently spotted a prototype with both all-wheel drive and hybrid badging, signaling that customers may soon be able to order a Maverick in that configuration, which isn’t currently the case. Finally, the 2025 Ford Maverick has also been spotted with a new, larger infotainment screen inside the cabin. It is worth noting that – as Ford Authority recently reported – deliveries of the refreshed Maverick may wind up being delayed as the automaker works to conduct routine quality checks, however.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Maverick soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

…yup….no wonder Ford Stock can’t break the $14.00 barrier !
I do not like what they did to the grill. Those two pieces of color plastic that run up the front looks weird.
This feels like it’s going to go through a quick front end refresh like the Escape did after 2 years.
that new front end is starting to grow on me (other than the “Mercury” version vertical slat grill), I always thought the original was a little awkward, too
Hate the new front styling. No worries though, i already got my 2024. I do like the eruption green but i also love my cactus gray.(was originally going to be area 51 until the idiots discontinued it for 2024). I would have loved to get an AWD hybrid, but i have a 4wd Jeep renegade so i really don’t NEED AWD. Plus, 4 snow tires on a FWD is fine, i drove a FWD Toyota with winter tires for 7+ years and never got stuck.
What is it with fords design department? That front end looks ridiculous! Could never grow on me in a million trillion years.
nice knowing you guys are getting the DNC money for advertising tho!
Good!
I don’t care about the design anymore, looks like an GMC vehicle but I’ve actually come to prefer it.
Anyone know when order banks open after a reveal like this?
Been waiting for 3 years for the 4×4 hybrid I will be ordering mine on Aug 1 and yes I know that I will still be waiting for it to be made. I am glad to see that Ford is trying to fix the problems in production by doing quality checks.
They need a GT or ST type lowered Maverick 2.3 AWD. I have a 2024 XL 2.0 AWD that is lowered 2 inches. I pull my 1966 Ford Cortina vintage race car with it. GREAT little truck with GREAT fuel economy 33 average when not pulling a trailer. Keep up the Great work FOMOCO.
Ford ruined the front end of the Maverick. I do like the new green color. I guess I will keep my 2022 Maverick.
