The 2025 Ford Mustang only features a handful of changes and updates compared to the 2024 model year pony car, including significant updates to its exterior color lineup. In fact, the 2025 Mustang loses four colors that were previously available.
Those four deleted colors include Atlas Blue Metallic (paint code B3), Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (paint code D4), Yellow Splash Metallic Tri-Coat (paint code RH), and Dark Matter Gray Metallic (paint code HY). Of these, Yellow Splash Metallic Tri-Coat had the shortest run, as it was first introduced for the 2024 model year before being discontinued, meaning it was a one-year-only color. Meanwhile, Rapid Red was introduced for the 2020 Mustang, and Dark Matter was new for 2022.
While the 2025 Ford Mustang loses the aforementioned exterior colors, it does gain two new ones: Molten Magenta Metallic Tri-Coat (paint code DT) and Wimbledon White (paint code N4).
Aside from the changes to its color lineup, the 2025 Ford Mustang ditches its 2.3L High Performance Package (HPP), which has been deleted from the lineup. This bundled quite a few options and extras for the base Mustang EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium models, such as 19-inch Carbonized Gray painted wheels, a Carbon Black front grille, hand-operated parking brake, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and paddle shifters, just to name a few.
Additionally, the pony car loses its wireless smartphone charging pad. Previously, this features was available on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium, GT Premium, and Dark Horse. Now, though, it’s been completely stricken from the feature lineup and is no longer available at all.
The 2025 Ford Mustang does gain the 60th Anniversary Package, which can be outfitted on GT Premium models in both coupe and convertible configurations along with either the six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. This bundle adds a host of unique touches that pay tribute to the original Mustang, including special badging, stripes, a unique grille, 20-inch Dark Gravity Gray wheels, and more.

Great Job, Ford!! First you start decontenting you vehicles & now you are offering less colors! Wimbledon White is such a highly sought after color……. for the car rental industry, LOL!!
Farley needs to be ousted and a real car guy installed to man the helm of this sinking ship.
He should have been ousted several years ago. No one at Ford seems to care about anything anymore as long as the stock price doesn’t tank.
Agree about the white. Where’s a pic of that Magenta? Sounds interesting on one hand and disgusting on the other…
Its a basic realty…US car manufacturers want to Euro-ize the American color choices. It was a matter of time after Dodge cancelled the challenger with its palate of vivacious colors to white, black, an assortment of greys..and maybe a red or blue teaser. White, Black and Grey are shades not colors and the least expensive pigments to purchase. here is my google..” But in a technical sense, black and white are not colors, they’re shades.”
Thats correct shades not colors, Rapid Red tinted is popular. I did see close up the Dark Matter Grey was nice.
Well I for one feel Wimbledon White is a classic sought after Mustang color. However, Ford in their infinite wisdom restricted the color to one edition. As for the rest of the lame colors, the majority of people are terrified to stand out. They want gray, grayer and black. I won’t be ordering a 2025 Mustang simply because the color I want is edition restricted, and there isn’t an orange.
Surprised Ford didn’t migrate the colors to the Mach e.
In other news, the Cybertruck, warts and all, already outsells the Lightning. If F-150 sales falter, you’ll get your wish about Farley. That’s the ballgame.
Ford sucks. They are on a delete frenzy. Just this week alone, they have deleted so many things from their models, it is crazy. How can you delete power seats, ambient lighting, power lift gates, exterior colors, and other things as if those features aren’t offered in competitors?
You suck Ford number 1 the best Chevy Dodge all suck Japanese cars suck Ford will always be 1. 47 STRAIGHT YEARS NUMBER TRUCK F 150 Ther cars been number 1 35 years number 1 so you have no clue what your talking about Ther engines last the longest Mustang has been the best Sports car 4 ever You buy your Chevy Dodge Junk not me I I will only drive a Ford I rather walk.As far as a Japanese cars Ther ugly ass hell n look the same
I guess Ford wants to move downmarket!
Let’s hope that Ford is running scared by the immense success of the Chevy Trax and intends to reprice the Escape downmarket (but not on par with the Trax, natch). If it doesn’t, I hope they sell none.
You can buy a fully loaded Trax for 27K. A similarly equipped Escape is high 30s. Better get going on more de-contenting. Also the Trax to has some attractive colors.
Yea If you want a ugly SUV Trax super ugly Escape Explorer Edge best SUVs definitely look great Rather pay more then have ugly Chevy and Dodge Junk
Stock price, stock price, stock price—–What about the customer?

So Ford deletes the only true Royal Blue color, but keeps Vapor Blue & Grabber? 🤦🏻♂️ Growing up, seeing Mustangs with stripes, it was always Wimbledon White/Guardsman Blue stripes or the reverse (Guardsman Blue/Wimbledon White stripes). Everyone knows those colors as Shelby Mustang & Ford Racing colors. I have a 2006 Mustang GT in Vista Blue with white stripes and so many people love the color (a nice royal blue) and how it’s a timeless Mustang color.
But they make this decision! Such a stupid call. Should have kept Atlas and dropped Vapor Blue. It’s amazing that other brands can offer over a dozen colors easily but Ford offers 8 for the 2025 GT! Hell, the car my wife has (a 2020 Lotus Evora GT she got pre-owned) offered 29 colors in the brochure!! 29!!! 2 free, then the rear priced at $3,750, $5,900 & $8,100! And this doesn’t even include the “Bespoke” color option that costs the same $8,100 but are colors from Porsche, Audi, BMW, Aston Martin, & Lamborghini! And people gladly forked over the money for them!
Why Ford doesn’t offer some sort of “paint to sample” like Porsche or Exclusive from BMW, is beyond me. They can make so much more $$$. When I was selling Fords (from ’97-’20) I asked several of my Mustang customers (they were also friends who I went to events with, with my car) that IF Ford offered an option to have a custom color that they already have in their catalog from a different model of vehicle, would you order it? Even if it was several thousand dollars. They all said YES with ZERO hesitation. Heck even before I finished my question. Ford just misses the mark every damn time! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Shame!!
I’ll always be a Die hard Ford guy They do absolutely nothing wrong in my opinion Only thing I wish they would start making Sedans again I’m not a SUV or truck guy I love cars small and big ones I’m sick of looking at all These SUVs I’ll Nevér own one gotta be a car
