Ford has a rich history at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, having previously taken all sorts of vehicles there to show off and participate in the event’s iconic hill climb – including the 2017 Ford GT, as well as the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 EV demonstrator, with CEO Jim Farley himself behind the wheel. Thus, with this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed kicking off today, it isn’t terribly surprising to see that The Blue Oval has once again brought some serious hardware to the latest installment of that famous event – including the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD and SuperVan.
This year, FoMoCo has an array of machinery at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, with both the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD and the Pikes Peak-veteran SuperVan tackling its famous hill climb, all with an eye toward posting strong times in that event. The Blue Oval is also displaying a few other models such as the M-Sport Puma Hybrid Rally 1 racer, the brand new Ford Raptor T1+ that’s headed to the 2025 Dakar Rally (and will be officially revealed tomorrow), as well as the just-revealed Ford Capri EV.
Goodwood will feature two 2025 Ford Mustang GTD models – one a Carbon Series model in Chroma Flame, which will be located in the Supercar Paddock, while another Mustang GTD will make its official driving debut on the famed Goodwood hill climb, with Ford Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT3 driver Frédéric Vervisch behind the wheel, competing in the Batch 6A series against similar production supercars.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD has been in Europe for a few weeks now after debuting in that region at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but it’s also eyeing something big – lapping the iconic Nurburgring in Germany in less than seven minutes, which would put it in some pretty lofty company.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for 24/7 Ford news coverage.

What a change at Goodwood, better than all those Ferrari’s, etc.,
