The Ford Board of Directors has undergone a series of shakeups over the past couple of years, adding and subtracting new members over that timespan on multiple occasions. Most recently, those moves included the addition of John C. May, the chairman and CEO of Deere & Company back in late 2021, who serves on the Finance, Compensation, Talent and Culture, and Nominating and Governance committees. Now, the Ford Board of Directors has added another new face to its group of executives.
The Ford Motor Company board has elected Adriana Cisneros as a director of its Nominating and Governance and Sustainability, Innovation and Policy committees, effective immediately, which expands the board to 15 directors. Cisneros became the CEO of Cisneros Group in 2013, a company that was originally founded in 1929 in Venezuela by her grandfather, Diego Cisneros, as a material transport business. Since then, Cisneros Group has grown and diversified significantly. Adriana Cisneros assumed leadership from her father, Gustavo, and under her guidance, the company has become a global leader in digital advertising, media and entertainment, and real estate.
In addition to her longtime leadership at Cisneros Group, where she previously served as vice chair and the director of strategy, Cisneros has extensive board experience. She currently serves as a director of Mattel Inc., AST Spacemobile Inc., and the Paley Center for Media, as well as as a trustee of the Knight Foundation, among other organizations.
“Adriana will be a wonderful addition to our board,” said Blue Oval Executive Chair Bill Ford. “She’s a CEO who has successfully modernized a family-led business by consistently thinking outside of the box and shattering conventions, experiences that are highly relevant as our team transforms Ford to compete and win in an exciting new era for the automotive industry.”

She’ll need all the luck she can muster.
OMG! She thinks out of the box. Whahoo. How about someone who knows how to build quality products as job # 1 ??
You don’t like her of course. She’s the opposite of you, rich, smart, still young and good looking.
Ford has need some new and younger blood in leadership positions. I agree quality needs the most attention not quantity.
Wonder if she ever worked for the Bill and Hillary Clinton Foundation??? Sounds to me Like she’ll have one Helluva Retirement FUND ? GOLDEN PARACHUTE???
Are there no automotive-based higher-ups available anymore? Perhaps someone like Bob Lutz and several others who actually have a passion for cars?
I appreciate her qualifications, but reading the article suggests she doesn’t have that passion.
Boards of directors are basically paid to rubber stamp any idea put forth by upper management.
Yeah, her resume is very nice, but what the hell does she know about manufacturing and building automobiles?!?
They need forward thinking car people on there board.
