Dynamic Friction Company Debuts Brake Pads For Ford Police Vehicles

Interestingly, while Ford police vehicles have long been incredibly popular among law enforcement agencies, there aren’t too many aftermarket companies that make parts and accessories for those models – aside from things like lights and radios required for duty, of course. Steeda does sell some goods for the Ford Police Interceptor Utility, however, and now, a company called Dynamic Friction Company has debuted some new parts for Ford police vehicles as well.

Dynamic Friction Company Ford Police Vehicle Brake Pads

DFC just launched a new set of brake pads for Ford police vehicles that are designed to handle the rigors of duty, whether that be high speed chases or just long days of stop and go driving. The brake pads are designed specifically to provide consistent stopping power, coupled with enhanced durability, superior heat dissipation, and quiet operation. This is important because police vehicles tend to experience issues like brake fade during high-speed pursuits, which obviously isn’t ideal.

DFC has offered police-focused brake pads for some time, but these new units – which are part of its 1911 series – are specifically designed to handle the more robust braking systems present in modern police vehicles like the Ford Police Interceptor Utility. Additionally, DFC is also offering upgraded rotors that feature more mass and specialized vein technology, which aid with heat management. In fact, the friction material present in the brake pads is heat tested at temperatures up to 1,000 degrees.

“DFC’s commitment to quality and innovation is evident in the real-world performance of its brake systems for pursuit vehicles,” the company said in a statement. “The innovative friction formulations of the new brake pads significantly increase rotor life, ensuring superior operation and reliability. Vehicles such as the Dodge Charger, Ford Explorer, and Chevy Tahoe have experienced notable benefits from DFC’s specialized brake systems. The new brake pads and rotors have resulted in longer-lasting performance, outpacing original equipment in terms of mileage and effectiveness.”
