Ford Chile Sales Jump 16 Percent In June 2024

Ford Chile sales increased 16 percent to 1,067 units in June 2024. The figures place Ford as the country’s seventh best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Toyota, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Kia, Peugeot, and Suzuki.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Ford model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:

Ford F-Series sales decreased 73.81 percent to 33 units
Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Ford Maverick sales totaled 45 units
Ford Ranger sales increased 46.04 percent to 406 units
Ford Territory sales increased 15.74 percent to 272 units
Ford Transit sales increased 77.78 percent to 96 units

In addition to the models specified, Ford also markets the following vehicles in Chile:

During the first six months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Chile sales increased 18 percent to 6,639 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Chile sales registered a solid double-digit increase in June, which allowed the brand to regain its mojo in the country, after suffering a setback with a slight drop in May. Ford’s recovery last month allowed it to once again grow its market share in the Chilean market.

In particular, Ford Chile’s growth in June was driven by significant sales increases of its main models – including the Ford Ranger and Ford Territory. Both nameplates saw significant increases, with the midsize pickup strengthening its leadership position as the brand’s best-selling vehicle in Chile.

The Ford Transit, meanwhile, achieved the highest growth rate among the brand’s models, adding a significant volume of 42 units year-on-year. This allowed the commercial van to once again record green numbers in the cumulative total for the year to date.
