Ford Motor Company sales increased one percent to 536,050 units during second quarter of 2024 in the United States. Sales increased at both Ford and Lincoln.
“From the urban customer who wants the capability of a small pickup like Maverick to the businesses that rely on Transit vans to help drive the American economy, the distinctive Ford lineup is resonating with customers,” said President of Ford Blue, Andrew Frick. “Hybrid and electric vehicles are driving growth, as are post-purchase experiences, like BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, the Ford Pro Intelligence software platform and remote vehicle servicing options,” he added.
FoMoCo Sales Notes – U.S. Q2 2024
- Total Ford Motor Company sales during second quarter of 2024 increased 0.8 percent to 536,050 units
- Truck sales increased 4.5 percent to 308,920 units
- SUV sales decreased 5.3 percent to 213,393 units
- Car sales increased 27.7 percent to 13,737 units
- Electric vehicle sales totaled 23,957 units, up 61.4 percent year to year
- Hybrid vehicle sales totaled 53,822 units, up 55.6 percent year to year
- Internal combustion sales totaled 458,271 units, down 5.0 percent year to year
- Ford is America’s No. 1 truck seller, led by best-selling F-Series and strong gains for Maverick, America’s most affordable pickup
- Maverick Hybrid, F-150 Hybrid sales lead to best-ever quarterly hybrid results
- Electric vehicle sales surge
- Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning are drawing customers from other brands, 62 percent of F-150 Lightning and 54 percent of Mustang Mach-E sales are new to Ford
- With 44,180 total EVs sold for the first half of the year, Ford brand electric vehicles trail only Tesla

Ford sales increased 0.1 percent to 512,127 units:
- Ford Bronco sales decreased 0.24 percent to 26,086 units
- Ford Bronco Sport sales decreased 15.28 percent to 28,189 units
- Ford E-Series sales increased 12.51 percent to 9,828 units
- Ford E-Transit sales increased 95.53 percent to 3,410 units
- Ford Edge sales decreased 36.94 percent to 16,522 units
- Ford Escape sales decreased 13.15 percent to 37,943 units
- Ford Expedition sales increased 8.7 percent to 21,747 units
- Ford Explorer sales decreased 0.05 percent to 46,338 units
- Ford F-150 Lightning sales increased 76.94 percent to 7,902 units
- Ford F-Series sales decreased 7.93 percent to 191,561 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 4.6 percent to 3,584 units
- Ford Maverick sales increased 81.02 percent to 38,052 units
- Ford Mustang sales increased 27.67 percent to 13,737 units
- Ford Mustang Mach-E sales increased 46.47 percent to 12,645 units
- Ford Ranger sales increased 5.06 percent to 13,257 units
- Ford Transit sales increased 28.32 percent to 38,864 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 50 percent to 2,462 units
Lincoln sales increased 18.9 percent to 22,923 units:
- Lincoln Aviator sales increased 90.26 percent to 5,664 units
- Lincoln Corsair sales increased 17.03 percent to 6,563 units
- Lincoln Nautilus sales increased 20.76 percent to 8,273 units
- Lincoln Navigator sales decreased 26.98 percent to 3,423 units
During the first six months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Motor Company sales increased 9.2 percent to 1,044,133 units.
