Ford Mustang Mach-E Production Decreased In June 2024

Like many other automotive models these days, production of the Ford Mustang Mach-E at the Cuautitlan Assembly plant in Mexico has experienced its fair share of fluctuations through the first six months of 2024. After starting out the year with a few thousand produced in January and February, Mach-E production totaled zero in the month of March, which could very well be related to the fact that inventory had swollen prior to then. However, things have improved since then, though Ford Mustang Mach-E production did take a dip in June.

According to FoMoCo’s June sales report, Ford Mustang Mach-E production at the Cuautitlan plant finished the month at 5,347 units, which is 1,367 units or just over 20 percent fewer than the month before. Prior to that, Ford Mustang Mach-E production totaled 3,454 units in January, 2,315 in February, zero in March, 5,192 in April, and 6,714 in May, which was by far its best month of the year so far. Throughout the first six months of 2024, Mach-E production came in at 23,022 units.

In terms of sales, the Ford Mustang Mach-E posted a healthy 46.5 percent increase in Q2 2024 versus Q2 2023, with 12,645 units sold versus 8,633. For the entirety of the first half of the year, Mach-E sales grew by 58.4 percent, from 14,040 units to 22,234.

Those shopping for a 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E will notice that the crossover has received quite a few notable changes as well. Those include the deletion of the Nite Pony Package, California Route 1, and GT Performance Edition, and the addition of the MagneRide suspension as standard equipment for the GT, as well as the new Rally model. Additionally, the 2024 Mach-E gets a new e-motor that results in more power and improved range, to boot.
