Ford Ranger Production Decreased In June 2024

As is typical in the automotive world, production of the all-new, 2024 Ford Ranger at the Michigan Assembly plant has experienced its fair share of ups and downs, literally speaking, over the past few months. For some time, the new Ford Ranger was actually being built at MAP, but deliveries were delayed a bit as the automaker conducted its routine quality checks on the redesigned mid-size pickup before shipping them to customers. Regardless, the uneven monthly Ford Ranger output at MAP continued in June, too.

According to FoMoCo’s June sales report, Ford Ranger production decreased by 329 units or nearly five percent month-over-month, from 7,026 in May to 6,697 last month. That figure is the lowest since March, when 6,707 Ford Ranger pickups surfaced from MAP, following totals of 7,590 in April and 7,026 in May. However, the 2024 calendar year started off rather slow for the pickup, as Ford churned out just 2,644 in January and 2,871 in March. Through the first half of 2024, Ford built a grand total of 33,535 Rangers.

As Ford Authority previously reported, even as production of the all-new 2024 Ford Ranger began early in the year, none were delivered until later on, due to the aforementioned quality checks. That has since changed, as the new Ranger is populating dealer lots, although models powered by the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost haven’t yet surfaced from MAP – rather, that new addition to the mid-size model won’t arrive until later this year.

In addition to that new engine option, the 2024 Ford Ranger has received a bevy of updates as part of its redesign. Along with all new interior and exterior styling, the Ranger gets a revamped suspension, a longer wheelbase, various new tech features, plus screen options that include a standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster or optional 12.4-inch unit, along with a standard 10.1-inch or available 12-inch center infotainment screen running Sync 4.

  1. Unfortunately, Ford allowed the Obama Biden administration to steer the company very close to bankruptcy. We all need to take our freedom back from a corrupt government.

  3. It is bad enough for California to control the EPA for the nation, but the government has no business telling manufacturers what kind of vehicles they can build and to make major changes to product lines like EVs vs gas. The democratic administration deserves to lose the President, the Senate and the House this election. The border, crime, EPA, schools, courts, and everything else is a disaster.

  4. So sad the auto workers union leader endorsed the present administration. Did not consider what it would do to everything associated with the auto industry and loss of jobs. Hate to see the size of batteries that will be used on ships and airplanes. EVS in my opinion will put thousands out of work and drive all petroleum products out of site.

  5. As a Ford ranger owner in Australia, I will support the comments about the terrible democrat government run by who really knows these days, Biden definitely isn’t running that clown show he’s not capable of being the Whitehouse garbage person, Biden has stuffed over Ford and probably other manufactures cause whoever is running the USA have made a mess that the next government will need four years just to fix all their blunders.
