The Ford SuperVan is one of several EV demonstrators The Blue Oval has churned out in recent years as it aims to push the proverbial envelope in regards to what’s possible with that type of powertrain. It has also been quite successful at the venues it has tackled thus far, which set it up quite nicely for continued success at this past weekend’s 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the Ford SuperVan 4.2 once again managed to top its competition.

With Romain Dumas once again behind the wheel, the Ford SuperVan 4.2 managed to claim a win at Goodwood’s Hill Climb Shootout, conquering the 1.16-mile course in 43.978 seconds. That was enough to handily beat the second-place finisher – a heavily-modified Subaru WRX – which completed the hill climb in just over 46 seconds. The SuperVan was joined by the Ford Mustang GTD, which also participated in the hill climb event, but did so merely on a demonstration basis.
Regardless, this is just the latest victory for the latest version of the Ford SuperVan, which used its 1,400 horsepower and extreme aero to finish second overall in last year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, finish first in the Open division, and set a new record for that class as well. The SuperVan proceeded to reset the record books yet again at Australia’s Thrifty Bathurst 500 race at Mount Panorama earlier this year, and Ford Performance has its sights set on other interesting events moving forward, too.
