The Ford Transit Custom Sport was revealed this past January – some time after the all-new Transit Custom on which it’s based made its own debut. As one might imagine, the Ford Transit Custom Sport is a sportier version of that model, wearing unique exterior treatments such as a body kit and sport stripes, though at the time, The Blue Oval didn’t provide us with too many details about what we could expect. Now, the automaker has released all of the pertinent details Ford Transit Custom Sport customers will want to know.
Destined for the Australian market along with the regular Transit Custom, the new Ford Transit Custom Sport is available in two configurations – Transit Custom Sport and Transit Custom Sport Double Cab. On the outside, it’s easily distinguished from the rest of the lineup thanks to its LED headlights with daytime running lamp signatures, a unique sport grille, dual racing stripes, sport side decals, a body kit, soft-close sliding side load doors, matte black 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and LED taillights.
Inside the cabin, the Transit Custom Sport features sport seats with blue accent stripes, piano black trim, a heated 10-way adjustable power driver’s seat with power lumbar and dual armrests, dual-zone automatic climate control, and dual USB-C charging ports in the closeable upper glovebox. Double Cab models also get an eight-way manual passenger seat, dual passenger armrests, and a variety of other unique features such as ISOFIX outboard rear seats with upper anchorage points.
The all-new Ford Transit Custom Sport and Transit Custom Sport Double Cab are expected to arrive in Australia in Q4 2024, with starting prices of $59,990 AUS ($40,400 USD) and $62,990 AUS ($42,420 USD), respectively.
