Since opening its first location a few years ago, Ford’s Garage – an officially licensed restaurant chain that features a Blue Oval theme and loads of cool memorabilia – has grown at a rather rapid rate. Ford’s Garage continues to not only open new locations across the U.S., but also announce further expansions across the U.S. Now, it’s set to add yet another dining spot – this time, for customers in Rosemont, Illinois.
According to the Daily Herald, construction at the latest Ford’s Garage location is expected to begin in around six to eight weeks. The new restaurant will be located in The Pearl District, which is south of Balmoral Avenue and west of the Tri-State Tollway, with 7,800 square-feet of space inside when it’s completed. The new Ford’s Garage in Rosemont will also be flanked by an immersive art exhibit and pop-up museum space spanning 28,000 square-feet.
The Rosemont Ford’s Garage will represent the very first Illinois location for the quickly-expanding restaurant chain, some time after its first location opened in Ford Myers, Florida in 2012. The restaurant became a franchise in 2015, and since then, has expanded to include 30 locations across eight states. For now, the latest addition to that lineup is expected to open in August 2025.
It was just this past May when Ford’s Garage announced that it was also opening a new location in Short Pump, Virginia, which is also the first location in that state. Thus far, the chain has managed to thrive in a time when many restaurants are closing due to high labor and food costs, largely by paring down its menu, buying more efficient equipment, and hosting special events like a Kentucky Derby watch party at all of its location.
