NASCAR Cup Series racer Noah Gragson recently announced that he’ll drive one of the three Ford Mustang Dark Horse race cars fielded by Front Row Motorsports (FRM) in 2025. So far, it looks like Gragson’s partnership with FRM will be a successful one, and the team is looking forward to having him on board, especially because of his eccentric personality.
According to a report from Motorsport, FRM team owner Bob Jenkins locked onto Gragson the instant he found out that the driver’s current team, Stewart-Haas Racing, was shutting down, making Gragson a free agent for 2025. Jenkins saw potential in not only Gragson’s performance, but in his ability to mesh with the existing FRM team members.
“The thing I’m most proud of is just the culture (of our organization),” Jenkins said. “It’s a close-knit group and I think the thing that Noah brings is just a new level of excitement.”
He added, “He’s just got contagious energy. Anybody that’s spent five minutes around him can see that. I remember being at Talladega one time and seeing a guy going down the boulevard on a scooter. I’m like, ‘Who is that guy?’ That’s Noah Gragson… He’s just one of those, for whatever reason, people just relate to him, and he relates well with them.”
Throughout his career in the NASCAR national series, Gragson boasts two Truck Series race wins and 13 Xfinity Series race wins, although he’s still looking for his first Cup Series win. In 59 career starts in the division, Gragson has amassed seven top 10 finishes and two top fives, and his career best finish is third, earned at Talladega.
