When the refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator (and its corporate cousin, the 2025 Ford Explorer) went into production at the Chicago Assembly plant on May 13th, 2024, things got off to a pretty slow start. That’s not a surprise, considering that assembly typically takes a dive when a new model begins its lifecycle. It also means that there’s nowhere to go but up, and just like the Explorer, assembly of the refreshed Aviator picked up dramatically in June 2024.
According to Ford’s June sales report, 2,171 examples of the Lincoln Aviator rolled off the assembly line in June, up from the 384 that were built in May. June was the first full month of refreshed Aviator production, giving the facility plenty of time to catch up from the disappointing month prior, and catch up it did – last month’s result represents a whopping 466 percent increase from May.
Lincoln Aviator production throughout 2024 certainly hasn’t been linear. In January, 2,854 examples of the luxury crossover were built, increasing to 3,202 units in February before slipping to 3,175 units in March and nearly halving to 15,74 units in April. As of June 2024, 13,387 examples of the Aviator have been built this year.
As for what sets the 2024 Aviator apart from its pre-refresh counterparts, it sports a revised front and rear fascia with an updated contoured mesh grille. Redesigned LED headlamps and running lamps that span the width of the front end, while inside, the tech-forward luxury crossover benefits from the new Lincoln Digital Experience infotainment software, the addition of BlueCruise as an option, a larger 13.2-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. It’s exclusively offered with a single powertrain option: the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which is tuned to deliver 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission.

Lincoln has communication problems!
I have written to you twice about the communication failures of Lincoln. No information, or false information about the 2025 Aviator.
In April I ordered a 2025 Aviator. No contact from Lincoln since a May 17 email with a June 10 production week.
According to the window sticker it was built 6/16. Was it?
The Lincoln site says it is ‘In production” Is it?
The dealer said my ordered car was due 7/11 to 7/17. No, not here.
When will I see the car?
Why ZERO information from Lincoln?
Why does the Concierge have no information?
Do you know anyone at Lincoln, who is in a decision making capacity, who can rectify this problem?
*$80,000 Order and no information.
