Shmee150 Bought A 2025 Ford Mustang GTD: Video

In the world of automotive YouTubers, Tim Burton of the channel Shmee150 is easily one of the most popular, thanks to his 2.68 million followers. Burton also happens to be a big supercar fan, and has had quite a few Blue Oval models in his garage over the years, including – most recently – a Shelby GT500, Mustang Dark Horse, Focus RS Heritage, MS-RT Transit Custom, and Ford GT, the latter of which he’s owned for around six years now. Now, Burton’s Blue Oval collection is set to gain yet another notable ride – the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD.

2025 Ford Mustang GTD Shmee150 Goodwood Festival of Speed - Titanium Coin

Burton was able to secure an allocation for a 2025 Ford Mustang GTD, but after attending a secret reveal event in Las Vegas, couldn’t really talk about it until the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed – which is precisely where two GTDs were in attendance. Before the GTD was even revealed, Burton received a pretty nifty black box with a note and a titanium poker chip inside bearing the Mustang logo and a number, which was sent out as an allocation that enables recipients to purchase one.

Regardless, Burton points out that he’s not entirely sure when he’ll take delivery of his 2025 Ford Mustang GTD, as it could arrive either late this year or early next year. He does plan to take delivery of the car in the U.S., however, and keep it there rather than at his home in the UK, and he even plans on taking it on some road trips – which isn’t terribly surprising given the fact that he’s racked up quite a few miles on his Ford GT as well.

In fact, other than showing us the very last, previous-generation Ford GT ever built, Burton also suffered a cracked windshield in his own car while driving it around Colorado, and even lost the the right rear center wheel cap to boot. Regardless, it’s nice to know that at least one 2025 Ford Mustang GTD won’t be babied and stored away as a future collectible.

We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Mustang news and continuous Ford news coverage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Really excited to see what these things will be able to do. I also hope that people eventually get it through their heads that these aren’t just a Faux-carbon fiber wrapped, sketchily supercharged, and haphazardly lowered regular 5.0 Mustang. This is an absolute beast.
