Over the years, Hot Wheels has released a number of special, limited-edition Red Line Club models based on Ford vehicles, which are only available for members of that same club to purchase. After a bit of a lull in terms of new Hot Wheels Ford models being released, that has quickly changes in recent days, as the diecast maker just revealed the new Wrangler 1985 Ford Bronco model, and now, it has also unveiled a new 1961 Lincoln Continental model as well.
This new 1961 Lincoln Continental is another Red Line Club exclusive, and is available to pre-order now with an expected delivery date of on or before December 1st, 2024. Based on the iconic real-life luxurious drop top, it’s a 1:64 scale model with four functional doors, black Spetraflame paint covering a ZAMAC body, silver VUM accents, and a set of four Real Riders oval track wheels with VUM hubs and whitewall tires.
This new Lincoln Continental RLC offering also features a Pearl White interior with black accents and simulated woodgrain trim, details that are on clear display thanks to the fact that there’s no pesky top in the way. Limited to two per customer, the special 1961 Continental retails for $35, and it comes packaged in a large acrylic case with a decorative box – perfect for placing it on the mantle or displaying it alongside the rest of one’s diecast collection.
The 1961 Lincoln Continental is a special model worth the tribute, given the fact that it ushered in the fourth generation of this particular luxury machine. The large, hefty, and stylish model immediately endeared itself to the masses – becoming a favorite of more than one celebrity and famous person – and cementing its place in automotive history at the same time.
We’ll have more cool diecast models like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Lincoln news, Lincoln Continental news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
