Back in 1985 – a time when sports cards were as hot as ever, as were a line of dolls called the Cabbage Patch Kids – Topps released the Garbage Pail Kids as something of a parody of the latter. These trading cards featured characters with oftentimes grotesque features, coupled with corresponding names, which could be peeled off and used as stickers, to boot. The Garbage Pail Kids were so popular, in fact, that this line spawned a feature length film, and today, it’s still doing so with this new 1969 Ford Bronco “Super Snotty” diecast model.
Sold by GreenLight Collectibles, the 1969 Ford Bronco “Super Snotty” is now available to purchase via the company’s eBay store for $20, though it’s limited to just 2,024 pieces. The new diecast is 1:64 in scale and was created especially for the 2024 San Diego, California Comic Convention, and as one might imagine, it also comes with a special Garbage Pail Kids card/sticker that features the character of the same name. As for the 1969 Ford Bronco itself, it features a lifted chassis, an opening hood, and rubber tires, and it’s an officially licensed product, to boot.
This is just the latest Ford-based diecast model to emerge from GreenLight Collectibles, however. Previously, the company released a 1:18 scale 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer limited edition model as part of its Artisan Collection, and followed that up by launching diecast versions of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, as well as the retro-themed Ford Bronco Heritage and Ford Bronco Sport Heritage.
