There was a time, not terribly long ago, when one could travel to their local Lincoln dealer and purchase not only a luxurious sedan with room for the whole family, but also, a coupe. These days, such vehicles are relegated largely to foreign manufacturers, but one can still find plenty of nicely-kept, low-mile Lincoln Mark VII models out on the collector car auction circuit – the latest of which is this pristine 1988 LSC.
This 1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC has just 36k miles on the clock and is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer after spending 33 years with its original owner. That person clearly loved their luxurious coupe, as its Arctic White paint has no flaws to note, save for a scratch on the fuel-filler door that’s been touched up. Otherwise, this Mark VII remains in stellar, like-new, and original condition throughout.
Inside the cabin, one will find plenty of amenities for this era, including a Titanium leather-wrapped steering wheel and power-adjustable front and rear seats, a cassette stereo, cruise control, power windows, and automatic climate control. Power comes from the high-output version of the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8, which was factory rated to send 225 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and the optional Traction-Lok limited-slip differential.
Interestingly, this is just the latest nice, low-mile Lincoln Mark VII that we’ve seen hit the auction block as of late – a list that also includes a 1992 LSC with just 29k miles, a 1991 with 43k miles, and a very nice 1992 with a mere 14k miles showing on the odometer, to name just a few – proving that those seeking a Lincoln coupe can still get one, albeit via the used car market, at least.

36K miles is a lot for a 1988. This is ridiculous.
