For a number of years, a company called Centurion Vehicles based in White Pigeon, Michigan, created a handful of models that The Blue Oval didn’t at the time – including large SUVs based on the F-Series, not to mention oddities like van/pickup conversions with dual rear wheels. These Ford Centurion models are quickly becoming red-hot collector’s items, meaning that this 1990 C-350 is more likely than not to attract a lot of attention at auction.
This 1990 Ford Centurion C-350 is up for grabs over at Bring a Trailer, where it has already been bid up past the $30k mark with two days left to go in the auction, as of this writing. It has been registered in California since it was new, and has just 59k miles showing on the odometer, giving us a look at what a large, four-door F-Series based Ford SUV might have looked like back then, if the automaker has built such a thing.
Along with its removable Bronco-style rear top, four doors, and wheel well arch extensions, this Ford Centurion C-350 Classic is equipped with a set of 16-inch wheels wrapped with 305/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Inside, one will find blue velour fabric covering an array of seating, with plenty of room for the whole family, along with air conditioning and cruise control. Power comes from Ford’s 460 cubic-inch V8, which was originally rated to produce 230 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque and sends that juice to all four wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, this is just the latest of many Ford Centurion models we’ve seen hit the auction block as of late. That eclectic collection includes a 1990 C-150 Classic that went up for grabs a little over a year ago, as well as a pretty wild 1989 Centurion dually, too.
