In recent years, the Ford E-Series has become more than just a commercial vehicle – rather, many have converted these vehicles into campers and overlanders of sorts, which makes sense give how versatile they are. The E-Series is a rugged, capable machine from the factory, as well as one that can be had in blank canvas form, making it the perfect base for all sorts of builds. However, this 2013 Ford E-350 is completely untouched, and it hasn’t been driven much over the past decade-plus, either.
Rather, this 2013 Ford E-350 XLT is up for auction at Cars & Bids, and it has just 2,400 miles on the odometer – which is, well, somewhat bizarre. The Oxford White van has lived its entire life in California – apparently mostly unused – and is completely unmodified. However, it does have a few flaws, including paint chips and dents, a bent running board, and flaws on one of the wheel covers – plus, it was reportedly in an accident back in June 2013, though not bad enough to make the airbags deploy.
Otherwise, this Ford E-350 remains in nice condition, with seating for 12 and a handful of amenities that include dual front captain’s chairs, Â power-adjustable side mirrors, remote keyless entry, front and rear air conditioning, a reverse sensing system, and cruise control. Power comes from Ford’s naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 255 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
Even if it isn’t necessarily a collector’s item, this Ford E-350 could make for a cool project of sorts, as we’ve seen all kinds of interesting builds based on this model in the past. Even the late musician Jimmy Buffett owned such a machine, a heavily-modified 2004 Ford E-350 that was just auctioned off back in June, in fact.
