Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023-2024 Ford Maverick, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, and 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E models over an issue with the windshield wiper motor.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the front windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail.
The hazards:Â inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2023-2024 Ford Maverick pickups built from June 20th, 2023, to September 29th, 2023, 2023 Ford Bronco Sport crossovers produced between September 3rd, 2023, and October 6th, 2023, and 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E models built between July 3rd, 2023, and July 17th, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 37,371
The fix: dealers will inspect and replace the windshield wiper motor as necessary, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on August 26th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S51.
