2025 Ford F-150 Drops Heritage Edition Package

The Ford F-150 Heritage Edition debuted back in June of 2022 for the 2023 model year as a bit of a retro throwback to the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, when two-tone paint jobs on Blue Oval pickups were all the rage. The Heritage Edition was also created to help celebrate the company’s 120th anniversary, as well as 75 years of the F-Series in general. Thus, it seemed somewhat odd that the Heritage Edition continued to be offered for the 2024 model year as part of that pickup’s refresh, but that won’t be the case with the 2025 Ford F-150.

The 2025 Ford F-150 lineup has dropped the Heritage Edition package from its list of available offerings as part of the new model year changeover, and it has disappeared from the model’s build and price configurator, too. For the 2024 model year, the Heritage Edition package was available as an option for XLT High (303A) models, but couldn’t be paired with the XLT Black Appearance Package or XLT Black Appearance Package Plus.

Customers wanting a 2024 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition also only had one engine choice – the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost – and also had to opt for the 145-inch wheelbase, FX4 Off-Road Package, Tow/Haul Package, and Twin Panel Moonroof. From there, the 2024 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition added the aforementioned exterior paint theme with two-tone treatment available in a variety of combinations, plus black running boards, a molded-in-color black honeycomb grille with body color surround, 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, a Heritage Edition logo in the center console, a floor shifter, and a Black and Slate Gray interior theme.

Other than this update, the 2025 Ford F-150 has also ditched its SecuriCode keypad – which was previously standard on the XLT trim and up – as that feature has now become a dealer-installed option.

It’s ridiculous that a company has to make clear its support for a cause… this makes me wonder how rational people really are… if everything can be just an image, even those declared to be linked to causes could very well be just a disguise, to look good in public opinion… grow up!

The way the colours were configured on this edition of the Heritage were NOTHING like the original. I have to say they were ugly, unlike the original, which was sharp looking!!!
