2025 Ford Maverick Adds New Eruption Green Color: First Look

The 2025 Ford Maverick boasts quite a few changes and updates, including a significantly updated exterior color lineup. In fact, it gains four new colors: Velocity Blue, Space White Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Eruption Green. Here’s a first look at Eruption Green.

Eruption Green is tagged with paint code FA, and is one of nine exterior colors offered on the 2025 Ford Maverick. It’s available on all trims, including XL, XLT, Lariat, and Tremor. The color is a no-cost option, and it is able to be added in conjunction with all available interior colorways for the compact pickup. It is available on the Maverick XL, XLT, Lariat and Tremor; it is not offered on Lobo models.

The entire color lineup for the 2025 Ford Maverick is as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (G4)
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7)
  • Oxford White (YZ)
  • Shadow Black (G1)
  • Desert Sand (VA)
  • Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (RR) (New for 2025)
  • Space White Metallic (A3) (New for 2025)
  • Velocity Blue (E7) (New for 2025)
  • Eruption Green (FA) (New for 2025)

Meanwhile, the following list represents all interior colorways:

  • Black Onyx
  • Navy Pier / Aspen Gray
  • Black Onyx
  • Smoked Truffle

Finally, the following represents all 2025 Ford Maverick trim levels:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lobo
  • Lariat
  • Tremor

The most significant changes on their way to the 2025 Ford Maverick are the hybrid all-wheel drive and its upgraded fascia, which now features a unique design for each trim level, including XL, XLT, Lariat, and Tremor.

Inside, the 2025 Ford Maverick now features The Blue Oval’s Sync 4 13.2-inch infotainment screen as standard, replacing the previous model’s eight-inch infotainment screen paired with the eight-inch digital instrument cluster. The 2025 Ford Maverick also boasts the 360-Degree Camera, along with Pro Trailer Hitch Assist as an optional extra. It’s worth noting that this feature, along with Pro Trailer Backup Assist, are standard on the Lariat and Tremor.

It’s also worth noting that the Maverick Tremor is now the pickup’s range-topping trim instead of an optional package, adding black chrome headlamps and taillamps, a unique front bumper with an improved approach angle, front skid plates, body color door handles, Carbonized Gray hood and lower door decals, and more.

Unsurprisingly, all these updates come at a premium. As covered by Ford Authority, the 2025 Ford Maverick is significantly more expensive than its predecessors, and now starts at $26,295, excluding destination freight charges. Considering that the pickup debuted in 2022 with a $19,995 price tag, that’s quite the jump.

As long as people will pay it, they will keep raising the price. I love the eruption green and the fact that you can get AWD with the hybrid (thanks a lot Ford). However, i paid $25,200 for my 2024 XL hybrid with Copilot 360, bedliner, hitch, and floor tray liners. To duplicate that now for 2025 would be over $29K and to add the $2200 AWD option is over $31K. Thanks but no thanks Ford, i will keep my 2024. I have an AWD Jeep for winter duties.

I see the Maverick will have the Ruby Red too, awesome color. I had it on my then 2016 F350, wanted it on my present 22 Ranger but Ford dropped it on everything. I went with Velocity Blue, nice blue but the really sharper blue was the Flame Blue, bring back the Flame Blue.

I’m not a green person but that Eruption Green is pretty cool. I have a Velocity Blue which I love and it gets a lot of compliments. I wish they had a fire engine red. I’m sick of all those pastel Easter egg colors and all the boring shades of old man gray.

I hope you Ford did their homework on green color car sales! I wouldn’t purchase a green vehicle from any car company!

I would have preferred a darker green myself but haven’t ruled it out. I need to see it in person.
