2025 Ford Maverick Production Slated For November

The 2025 Ford Maverick just debuted last week, ushering in the compact pickup’s very first refresh. That mid-cycle update brought forth quite a few notable changes, however, including tweaks to the trim level lineup, the introduction of the new, street performance-focused Lobo, a fresh look up front, and a handful of tech and mechanical updates, to boot. As Ford Authority previously reported, order banks for the 2025 Ford Maverick opened up on August 1st, but now, we know when production is slated to begin, too.

According to sources familiar with the matter, 2025 Ford Maverick production at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico is currently slated to begin on November 11th, 2024. As is always the case, this date is subject to change, however. Deliveries of 2025 Ford Maverick models are scheduled to begin in late 2024, which aligns with this particular date, too.

Though it’s available with the hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive for the first time, the 2025 Ford Maverick lineup has ditched front-wheel drive for models equipped with the the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost, as well as the Lariat trim entirely. Otherwise, the 2025 Ford Maverick lineup, as a whole, is significantly more expensive than the 2024 model, as Ford Authority recently reported, though it still offers good value when compared to other models in the automaker’s lineup that pair the 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost with AWD, even if it has lost 12 horsepower year-over-year.

The 2025 Ford Maverick does get more standard equipment than its predecessor, including a digital instrument gauge cluster and a larger, 13.2-inch screen running SYNC 4. The Tremor has also become its own trim level based on the Lariat, whereas before, it was offered as the optional Tremor Off-Road Package, which could be added to the XLT or Lariat.

The 2025 Maverick is a nice size truck. But the front end nose piece headlight interface design really hurts it. The front end looks cheesy and cheap. I like the Ranger much better.

Maybe delay it 10 years due to that ugly front end!

“…a fresh look up front…” More like a foreign look, or impractical, cheap look. Whoever came up with new look and who approved it should be fired. Where the heck are the high beam led lamps? The beauty of the Maverick was that it was designed after the F150, as it’s little brother. Ford is, or rather, was a leader in the truck industry. Now Ford us following cheap Asian designs. I am so glad I got my 2022 XLT before before Ford lost it
