The refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick just debuted earlier this week, along with a bit of a surprise in the sporty, track-focused Lobo variant. Aside from a new look up front, the refreshed Maverick has been treated to a host of changes inside the cabin, along with the return of the hybrid as the base model – and the very first time shoppers can combine the hybrid powertrain with all-wheel drive. However, all of these updates are coming at a rather steep price, it seems.
2025 Ford Maverick Price | 2024 Ford Maverick Price – August 1st | + / – August 2024 Price | |
---|---|---|---|
XL EcoBoost | $26,295 | $23,920 | +$2375 |
XLT EcoBoost | $28,795 | $26,240 | +$2555 |
Lariat EcoBoost | $36,735 | $34,960 | +$1775 |
Tremor | $39,795 | $32,785 | +$7010 |
Lobo | $40,495 | +$40495 | |
XL Hybrid | $26,295 | $25,420 | +$875 |
XLT Hybrid | $28,795 | $27,920 | +$875 |
Lariat Hybrid | $36,735 | $34,240 | +$2495 |
Destination | $1,595 | $1,595 | $0 |
The base 2025 Ford Maverick XL EcoBoost has seen its price increase by $2,375 to $26,295, which is also true of the hybrid, though it’s only $875 more expensive than before. Moving up to the XLT will cost one either $875 or $2,555 more than before for the hybrid and EcoBoost, while the Lariat is either $2,495 or $1,775 pricier. However, the Tremor has been treated to the largest price increase of them all, as it’s $7,010 more expensive than the outgoing model at $39,795, topped only by the all-new Lobo (high model) at $40,495.
It is worth noting that the 2025 Ford Maverick does get more standard equipment than its predecessor, including – most notably – a digital instrument gauge cluster and a larger, 13.2-inch screen running SYNC 4. The Tremor isn’t a completely fair comparison either, given the fact that it has become its own trim level based on the Lariat, whereas before, it was offered as the optional Tremor Off-Road Package, which could be added to the XLT or Lariat.
Regardless, those shopping for a 2025 Ford Maverick are certainly facing a bit of sticker shock, particularly since the compact pickup debuted in 2022 with a starting price of just $19,995, sans delivery charges.

Front end is ugly and interior looks cheap. New prices are outrageous for something that can only haul groceries!
Who said it can only haul groceries? It is able to tow by 20′ boat…
Yes, the front end doesn’t look as good as the previous model year, even more so is that it doesn’t look integrated together with the design of the truck. It can do more than haul groceries. A base Gladiator only tows 4k. The Maverick with the tow package can tow as much as a non max tow Gladiator (beefed up unibody vs base body on frame). But the price going up, that was expected. Why? Well, there is this truck called the Ranger and Ford isn’t gonna have people buying Mavericks because they are cheap when they really want you to buy a Ranger because its a truck that is smaller than the F-150, because you really don’t need that much truck period but they think you should really want an F-750. Get it? They will balance their market share, you aren’t getting a steal, so that’s why Americans always buy a little more than they need because capitalism would have us all shopping at Sam’s Club and Costco if it truly had its way. The best value truck will always be 1/2 ton, period. And I drive a Jeep Gladiator Freedom edition (Steel bumpers) with the max tow package, in case you’re wondering why I’m so into this conversation. I will probably be going back to a 1/2 on my next truck, it is the best bang for the buck. Ford F-150 or Ram 1500, this other crap out there is a gimmick.
The XLT is the sweet spot. A well-optioned XLT hybrid with AWD and 4K towing is still significantly cheaper than an entry level gasser midsize that gets worse mpg’s with way less amenities….and cheaper than most Rav4 hybrids that tow less.
Ford finds a way to screw up success.
I’m buying 2. His and Hers
“Cheap & Cheerful” is not what sells to the American consumer which is what Ford found out since the release of the current model with a cheap base price.
The price increases aren’t that bad when you look at the upgrades from the previous model year and then factor in the hefty inflation rate.. Groceries alone have risen 5.4% on average annually since 2020.. I was going to post the inflation rate table but this commenting software doesn’t allow images.
The upgrades are actually pretty decent. It might be worth the price increase if they didnt screw up the front fascia.
I’m trying to see something I like about the front end, but can’t.
The front end is so ugly with the two end taps in the body color extending up each side of the grille .
What is wrong with the so called stylists ? Horrible , would not buy for that alone
I sat in one last year and then said thanks to the leasing manager. Cheap and uncomfortable interior. It was an XLT.
This new flat spot on the front end is a mess.
Only the shadow black ones appeal to me any other color and the bumper stands out too much
Are you people, and I think the front end of the new Maverick is ugly. You probably thinks the cyber truck is absolutely gorgeous.
This proves Ford really doesn’t care about it’s core customers they only care about maximizing profit. The Maverick could have been a runaway sales success but Ford decided to hold down production to drive up prices. Now with a poorly done refresh and greedily raising MSRPs this should kill Maverick sales.
Of course Ford cares about profits
The Maverick is a runaway success selling far better than expected and Ford is on track to sell 200K for 2024. The actual price increase for the 2025 is minimum. Most of that 2025 price increase is dropping the unpopular FWD base model that few people bought but increased complexity and drove up cost for all trims. Ford needed decrease some complexity to balance the increased complexity from adding the Hybrid AWD trims that people have been asking for since launch.
The Maverick is not going to sell well. Reducing Horsepower and terrible front design is ludicrous. The rediculous redesign of the front is really ugly. This fuel filter cost is the last straw. And now for suggest premium gas is needed to realize slight performance. Way to go Ford you have put the Maverick to rest.
It’s what the market will bear. I don’t agree about the front end; sales will tell the tale.
One more reason to run from this truck!!!! and se other options!!!
The Ford design team ruined the front end of the 25 Maverick. It is terrible I would not buy one because the front end looks so bad . Wow !
Strike 1: Price increase
Strike 2: Dropped iconic silver
Strike 3: Redesigned front end (are those mudflaps on the headlights or what?!)
YOU’RE OUT MAVERICK!
People saying cheap interior nothing special about the truck. Well for 20k what it once was it was OK to have nutten special truck. Now with tax the base will be close to 30k. Not so special anymore.
Love my ’24 Lariat Hybrid in Atlas Blue. Don’t need a larger screen, thank-you. Would of liked to have AWD plus the better transmission over the eCVT ,but the 40-60MPG is great!
Over 500 miles to a tank.
