Another 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Diecast Is On The Way

In recent months, Hot Wheels has added a host of Blue Oval diecast models to its collection of Red Line Club exclusives, which are only available to members and feature greater levels of detail than the average piece one can buy from the local big box stores. That list includes a Ford Mustang Boss 302 that paid tribute to the Boss Hoss model that was originally released back in 1970 – the very first car in the Hot Wheels Club Kit that was inspired by that track-focused pony car. Now, Hot Wheels has added another 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 RLC model to its collection.

This new 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 diecast once again pays tribute to the famous pony car that was created especially so that The Blue Oval could compete in Trans Am racing, and it sports its own unique features that set it apart from the pack, too. Those include a Spectraflame Bright Yellow ZAMAC body, a set of Real Riders five-spoke mag wheels, a metal chassis, light smoke-tinted windows, and a black interior.

There are also set of black hockey stick stripes and a supercharged “engine” underhood, giving this Ford Mustang Boss 302 a truly custom look. Like all RLC offerings, the 1:64 scale diecast comes packaged in a Kar Keepers clamshell case with an illustrated blister card, making it perfect for displaying pretty much anywhere one might choose. However, it is exclusive to RLC members with limits of two per club membership or 10 per household. This new 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 diecast retails for $25, and is slated to launch on August 27th at 9am PT.

In addition to this and the aforementioned “Boss Hoss” Ford Mustang Boss 302, Hot Wheels has added a couple of other intriguing Blue Oval models to its RLC catalog as of late – a 1985 Ford Bronco with a vintage Wrangler livery, as well as a 1961 Lincoln Continental – giving fans of the automaker a variety of ways to show off their love of all things Ford.

Good luck trying to buy this model. I tried the very first second web sales opened for the previous Hot Wheels RLC Mustang and it was already SOLD OUT when I got to the online checkout!

This time, when I got on the website as model became available, I actually got to buy one! I think Mattel got smarter and made more models available.
