Dodge Caravan Pushes Ford Fusion Into Guardrail: Video

As many of us are painfully aware already, there are far more distracted drivers out there on the roadways than ever before, whether they be scrolling social media on their phones, toying around with their infotainment system, or just daydreaming and not paying attention to their surroundings. Problem is, these types of folks often cause accidents as a result, and as was the case with one Ford Fusion driver recently, there just wasn’t much time to react.

Dodge Caravan Pushes Ford Fusion Into Guardrail - Exterior 002 - Rear

In this clip posted to Reddit, we get to see a handful of vehicles traveling down the highway in morning traffic, with the Ford Fusion driver simply merging onto the road in front of the car that’s filming what’s about to happen. We see brake lights ahead as traffic begins to form, but out of nowhere, a Dodge Caravan comes along, clearly with someone behind the wheel that isn’t paying a bit of attention to that development.

The Caravan driver plows ahead full speed before it smashes into a Jeep Wrangler, which sets off a bit of a chain reaction. The van swerves quickly to the right after hitting the SUV, directly into the Ford Fusion, whose driver unsuccessfully tries to get out of the way. Making matters worse, the Caravan pushes the sedan into the guard rail, resulting in some pretty nasty carnage with parts and debris scattered all over the road.

As most in the comments note, it’s clear that the Caravan driver wasn’t paying attention to the road ahead, turning what should have been a normal commute for some into a proverbial nightmare – not to mention multiple insurance claims. Of course, this is something that we see on a regular basis these days, as the past few weeks have provided us with footage of a Ford Maverick that flips end over end after being hit from behind, a Mercedes smashing into a police officer’s Ford Mustang Mach-E, and a Hyundai Santa Fe taking out a Ford Bronco Sport after hitting the guard rail itself.
