The Ford Focus RS hasn’t been sold in the U.S. for some time now, but it remains a highly coveted vehicle, regardless. Those seeking a Blue Oval hot hatch of any kind are forced to turn to the aftermarket, in fact, as there just aren’t any available in the automaker’s American lineup anymore, and the Ford Focus RS is still a fun machine to drive. We’ve certainly seen our fair share of stock, low-mile examples sell for solid money as of late, but this 2016 model is even more special than those machines.
This 2016 Ford Focus RS – which is currently up for auction at Cars & Bids – was purchased by the original owner via a charity auction, and they had their choice of exterior hue. That person chose Magnetic Metallic, which makes it the only U.S.-market example to be finished in that color, and it hasn’t been driven much either – rather, it has just 71 miles on the clock.
Only sold in the U.S. between 2016-2018, the Ford Focus RS is special enough in its own regard, though this one is clearly more special than most. It’s also well-equipped with Equipment Group 600A and the RS2 Package, which added Recaro leather and suede-trimmed heated front bucket seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, heated side-view mirrors, and the voice-activated navigation system.
Power comes from the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which in this guise was rated to produce 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This particular Ford Focus RS figures to command a premium at auction given its unique color and mileage, but we’ve also seen some other nice ones – including both 500- and 1,000-mile examples – also go up for grabs as of late.

The RS has a very sophisticated torque vectoring all wheel drive.
