Ford Bronco Production Decreased In July 2024

Ford Bronco production at the Michigan Assembly plant had been on the rise for some time now as demand for the rugged SUV proved strong for a number of years, though things eventually stabilized, as is the norm. Recently, production of the Bronco has seen its fair share of increases and decreases on a monthly basis, which is also quite normal, and that was once again the case in July, as Ford Bronco production decreased versus June – a common theme among the entire Blue Oval lineup.

With FoMoCo implementing its typical summer shutdowns at various U.S. plants last month, most of its vehicles also experienced some sort of production slowdown as a result. It isn’t clear if that’s the case with the Ford Bronco and MAP, but production of that model did dip month-over-month, according to Ford’s July sales report – from 11,518 units to 7,810 – which is a decline of 3,708 units, or around 32 percent.

This was also true of the Ford Ranger, which is built alongside the Ford Bronco at MAP. As Ford Authority recently reported, Ranger production totaled 3,982 units last month, which is 2,715 units or just over 40 percent fewer than June’s total of 6,697 pickups. Ford Ranger production in June also declined by around five percent compared to May.

As for the Ford Bronco, it closed out the month of June at 11,518 units, which was a slight decrease of 299 units, or around 2.5 percent compared to May’s total of 11,817 units. May’s production number was 422 units or nearly four percent higher than April’s total of 11,395 units as well, but still trailed January’s output of 12,143 units, as well as February’s 12,659 units, but it’s still the third highest monthly total of the calendar year so far. It was also a big jump from March’s total of 9,833 units, too.
