In recent years, car buyers around the globe have gravitated away from brighter, bolder colors, showing a preference for achromatic hues such as white, black, and gray (or grey, as they call it in other parts of the world). Gray, in particular, has grown in popularity due to the fact that it’s a neutral color that represents control and practicality, according to experts at least. Thus, it’s not terribly surprising to learn that Ford Ranger buyers in the Middle East are gravitating toward gray trucks, too.
According to The Blue Oval, nearly 27 percent of all Ford Ranger pickups sold in the past six months in the Middle East were finished in either Carbonized Gray or Metallic Gray, which is by far the most of any specific hue. In Saudi Arabia, most Ford Ranger customers chose Carbonized Gray, but in the UAE, Conquer Gray was second behind Absolute Black, and in Kuwait, both gray colors tied in terms of popularity.
From there, 13.5 percent of Middle Eastern Ford Ranger buyers chose Moondust Silver, followed by Agate Black at 12.7 percent, and Frozen White at 11.9 percent. This is particularly interesting given the fact that the Ford Ranger and Everest are offered in a total of 20 different colors across the globe, so it isn’t like customers don’t have a bevy of diverse choices to mull over in that regard.
Meanwhile, Ford’s Middle Eastern lineup continues to grow and flourish. Back in late 2022, the automaker debuted all three models in the Raptor lineup there – the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ford Bronco Raptor, and Ford Ranger Raptor – making it the first region on the planet to do so. In the first quarter of 2024, Ford Middle East posted a year-over-year sales increase of 29 percent, which also happens to be its highest quarterly mark since Q2 2016, while growing its share by 0.5 percent in that market.

I bet the terrorists like those colors too, huh Ford? Should be a BAN on US Brand products sold to the middle east. I’m guessing those trucks look pretty cool though with machine guns mounted on them.
Might want to consider the number of Toyota pick up trucks that populate many of the terrorist groups around the globe. Check with Japan to see if they might jump on board with a ban on Tacoma sales in the middle east.
That’s most likely because in recent years auto manufactures have been offering only a few drab color choices, so of course that’s what the majority of normies are going to buy. What a useless article. Having a black truck in the freakin desert makes perfect sense. Said no one ever…..
The Ford Ranger is a great truck in gray.
