The Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway was a two-day affair, starting on August 18th, 2024, before being rained out postponed until August 19th, when it was subsequently completed. As if that didn’t make the ordeal long enough, the race went into Overtime after a series of incidents, prompting a late-race restart. Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 8 Chevy Camaro ZL1, wasn’t too happy with how that restart went, and called out Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 6 NASCAR Ford Mustang Dark Horse, for what he felt was a poorly executed move heading to the green flag.
Busch took to social media after the race, replying to a post from NASCAR showing a video of the restart in question. “What the Fu€k was the 6 doing?!” Busch replied to the video, referencing the fact that Keselowski’s race car suddenly slowed before taking the green. This caused Busch’s No. 8 Camaro to ram Keselowski’s rear bumper, stacking up the field behind them. A chain reaction followed that may have ultimately turned the race in the favor of the No. 45 Toyota TRD Camry of Tyler Reddick, who went on to win.
Keselowski later explained that his No. 6 NASCAR Ford Mustang had been suffering power issues throughout the race, which may have caused his botched restart.

“Yeah, we just had a couple of issues today with the engine shutting off,” Keselowski said. “It was frustrating, but it was just part of our day. We were probably that fourth or fifth-place car, and the way the race played out, the 45 [Tyler Reddick] got by us, and he was really fast. He deserved to win the race. We were in position, but we just really couldn’t make anything count.”
Despite being upset with Keselowski, Busch actually finished ahead of him, crossing the line fourth. Keselowski’s No. 6 Mustang was credited with fifth.
