The Blue Oval has embarked on a number of marketing tie-ins as of late, which are typically fun for enthusiasts and owners of the company’s vehicles, as well as a great way to advertise those models beyond the typical methods like commercials. Most recently, we saw this come to life via a partnership with Dr. Squatch, which launched a new Ford Bronco inspired soap bar called the Bronco Bricc this past May – one that sold out online rather quickly. Now, the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo is getting its own cool marketing mashup, too.

This news comes to us from Ford North America Product Communications director Mike Levine, who revealed that the iconic Randy’s Donuts location near the Los Angeles International Airport in California is selling special 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo themed donuts for a limited time. Randy’s originally opened way back in the 1950s, and has since served as both a landmark and an institution in Southern California, to boot.
As for the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo, it was just revealed this morning as a new, sporty version of the compact pickup with some pretty nifty performance-focused features. On the outside, those include a lowered suspension, unique bodywork, 19-inch wheels, a unique front fascia, a black roof, and a painted rear bumper. The sporty Maverick even has a special track-focused “Lobo” driving mode, to boot.
In terms of mechanicals, the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost engine available in other Maverick models, which is mated to the seven-speed gearbox from the Ford Edge ST. The Lobo even gets torque vectoring via a twin-clutch rear drive unit, plus specially-tuned steering, and dual-piston front brake calipers borrowed from the Focus ST. The Lobo also features the same upgraded cooling system present in the optional 4K Tow Package, with its larger radiator and fan, plus a transmission oil cooler.
We’ll have more on the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Maverick news and non-stop Ford news coverage.

Yeah … another model variants to make things take even longer. I’ve given up finding a Maverick XL with just a trailer hitch … dealer says order “banks” are all tied up … when you do find one dealer xyz marks it up another $2K. Guess there’s a Colorado State of Mind coming my way.
