The Cup Series is back from its two-week Olympic break this weekend at Richmond Raceway. That means it’s a good time to start looking at which racers are most likely to rake in the cash. Some NASCAR Ford drivers have great odds at Richmond while others don’t, so keep reading to find out where The Blue Oval stacks up.
The latest betting odds on NASCAR.com place a few Ford Mustang Dark Horse racers toward the bottom of the list. Harrison Burton’s No. 21 Mustang is a longshot at 400-1 odds, right on par with part-time Cup Series driver Riley Herbst, who will drive the No. 15 Mustang this weekend. Justin Haley, who drives the No. 51 Mustang, is a much safer bet at 150-1 odds of taking the win, as is Ryan Preece, driver of the No. 41 Mustang.
Noah Gragson is a slightly better bet at 130-1 odds of winning Richmond in the No. 10 NASCAR Ford. Austin Cindric’s No. 2 Mustang slots in with 100-1 odds, as does Chase Briscoe’s No. 14 Mustang and Todd Gilliland’s No. 38 Mustang and Michael McDowell’s No. 34 Mustang.
From there, the rest of the NASCAR Ford stable seems to be a pretty safe bet. At 25-1 odds, Josh Berry, driver of the No. 4 Mustang, could win this weekend. Past Richmond winner, Chris Buescher, who drives the No. 17 Mustang, has 16-1 odds, while Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 Mustang is favored at 14-1. Ryan Blaney is a pretty safe bet as well with 12-1 odds of putting the No. 12 Mustang across the stripe first, while Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Mustang, is the safest bet in The Blue Oval camp at 11-1 odds.
Meanwhile, bettors who want to venture outside the NASCAR Ford drivers should put money on Martin Truex Jr., driver of the No. 19 Toyota TRD Camry, who has the best odds of the field at 9-2.
The Cup Series race at Richmond is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.
