These days, all Panther platform cars are highly sought-after entities in the collector car market, though one could make the argument that none are quite as collectible as the Mercury Marauder. The high-performance sedan does pop up for sale quite frequently, in spite of its relatively rarity, and remains a fan favorite, regardless. Now, yet another nice, low-mile Mercury Marauder has surfaced for sale, giving fans of big, V8-powered American sedans another solid target to bid on.
This 2003 Mercury Marauder is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer, and has a relatively low 29k miles on the odometer, to boot. The seller has owned it since 2009 and has put 27k of that total on the clock, but now, it’s looking for a new home yet again. The muscular sedan is finished in black and is one of around 11,000 examples produced in the model’s two-year production run, though it reportedly suffered some damage back in 2012 and has some paint blemishes and wheel curb rash present today.
Otherwise, this Mercury Marauder is in solid shape with a Dark Charcoal leather interior boasting amenities such as power-adjustable front bucket seats, an Audiophile sound system, an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer, cruise control, power-adjustable pedals, and automatic climate control. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 302 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque.
This is just the latest nice Mercury Marauder to hit the auction block, however, as we’ve seen quite a few of them surface for sale lately. That list includes a very rare one-of-330 Dark Blue Pearl example that popped up for sale earlier this month, as well as another 2003 model with 33k miles painted Silver Birch Metallic, which was also up for grabs just a month ago. Most Marauders left the factory with black paint such as this one, but we don’t doubt that it’ll conjure up plenty of interest at auction, regardless.

beautiful looking car. However I doubt the integrity of the “sales corp” when a vehicle 21 years old has such a low mileage!
Car looks like something a Russian government bureaucrat would be driving.
