Though the Ford Focus was discontinued in the U.S. some time ago, the long-running model is still being sold in Europe – albeit, at least, until next year, when it’s scheduled to go away completely. Regardless, we’ve seen our fair share of nice and interesting examples of that particular model up for grabs on the auction circuit as of late, and that now includes this very nice 2005 Ford Focus ST that’s been modified in a variety of ways.
This 2005 Ford Focus ST is up for auction at Cars & Bids, but it’s no low-mile gem, as it has just over 97k showing on the odometer. Regardless, it’s a sporty machine that effectively replaced the SVT in the lineup, and doesn’t have any major flaws outside of the typical scratches and chips here and there, along with curb rash on the wheels and some creasing on the seats.
What one will notice about this Focus ST is that aside from its factory fog lights and rear spoiler, it’s also fitted with a set of 17-inch Focus SVT wheels, a Ford Performance SVT-style suspension kit, Prothane sway bar bushings, and Hawk brake pads, which are tasteful OEM-style add-ons, for the most part. Power comes from the 2.3L I-4 Duratec engine, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 151 horsepower and 154 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
It’s hard to say what someone will be willing to pay for this particular Ford Focus ST, but these are certainly fun cars that still offer up plenty of bang for the buck. It’s also one of a handful we’ve seen pop up for auction as of late, a list that also includes a 2004 ZX4 SVT with 43k miles, a 2002 LX with less than 200 miles, and a 2001 ZX3 with a Coyote swap underhood.
And there are a few changes in store for the heavy-duty hauler.
The wreck was worse than it looked.
Pretty tame for a Truck Series race at Talladega.
Closing the week at $10.57 per share.
A number of Blue Oval employees are pitching in, too.
Sales increased 2.7 percent to 1,548,172 units during the first nine months of 2024.

That's not an ST...
Definitely NOT an ST...no matter how many mods done to it. Just a Focus sedan that someone was sad they had to drive. Instead of buying a real one, they created a poser.
Actually it is a real ST. I have one with 23k miles on it. The 2005-07 focus had a ST version straight from Europe on the 170 platform. It includes a 2.3L or 2.0L Duratec motor matted with a MTX-75 5 spd. 4-wheel disc brakes, and a SVT styled interior with the optional rare Street Appearance Package which includes the euro front bumper and valance, the euro rear bumper with rear defuser, rear ralley style wing, and unique (ugly) wheels. Mine has the Street Appearance Package, ST 2.0L, Recaro black and gray suade interior package, and a set of vintage 4lug TSW Evo wheels.
