In recent years, more and more Panther platform cars have been popping up at auction, which makes a lot of sense – after all, full-size, body-on-frame American sedans just don’t exist on the new vehicle market anymore. These cushy machines are still quite popular with a lot of folks, however, and there are plenty of them out there with scant few miles on the clock, just ripe for the picking, it seems. The latest example of that phenomenon is this very nice Mercury Grand Marquis, too.
This 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis has a mere 8k miles on the clock and is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer, after it has lived its entire life in the state of Alabama under two owners. Neither of them drove the big Light Ice Blue Metallic sedan very much, as we can see by that absurdly-low mileage total, and as one might imagine, there aren’t many flaws to note as a result – save for some discoloration in the bright trim on the rear bumper cover.
The same goes for the pristine interior, which is fitted with Medium Light Stone leather seating and woodgrain trim, coupled with amenities such as automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable pedals, and the factory AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo. Power comes from Ford’s 4.6L V8, which was factory-rated to generate 224 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
This Mercury Grand Marquis is easily one of the lowest-mile examples we’ve seen in a very long time, as that title previous went to a 2001 model with 21k miles that surfaced for sale back in May. However, it’s been joined by countless Lincolns and Ford Crown Victorias riding on the same platform, such as this 2004 Crown Vic LX that went up for grabs just a few weeks ago, though it had 63k miles showing on the odometer at that time.

8K miles for a vehicle that is 18 years old? It really amaze me seeing this ads for old cars w/o an engine broken-in…someone should do an inspection and document the details
