The Ford Focus was removed from that automaker’s U.S. lineup years ago, and next year, production will cease altogether as the Focus sails off into the proverbial sunset across the entire globe. However, the Focus remains a popular used vehicle option in the U.S. thanks to its affordable price tag and excellent efficiency, two things that are hard to find on the new or used vehicle market these days. As for the high-performance Ford Focus RS, it has also become a red-hot collectible as of late, as we’re seeing a lot of nice examples surface for sale at auction – including this super low-mile 2016 model.
Up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, this 2016 Ford Focus RS is a Canadian market example that has a mere 1,100 miles showing on the odometer, and it has lived its entire life in Ontario thus far. As a result of the fact that it has barely been driven over the past several years, this Focus RS remains in stellar condition, with flawless Shadow Black paint paired with matching black 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a rear wing, and revised lower bodywork with a rear diffuser, sill extensions, and bumper covers.
The same goes for the stellar interior, which features Charcoal Black leather and Miko Dinamica microsuede-covered Recaro seats with embroidered RS emblems, SYNC infotainment with navigation, a CD stereo, cruise control, ambient lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Power comes from the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which in this guise produces 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, flowing to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and Dynamic Torque Vectoring. The car even comes with the optional RS Winter Wheel & Tire Package, in case the new owner actually wants to go hooning in the snow and ice.
Of course, this is just one of many nice, low-mile Ford Focus RS models we’ve seen surface for sale as of late. That list also includes a pair of 2016 examples – one with just 500 miles and another with slightly over 1,000 – as well as a 2017 with 5,500 miles on the clock.
