Just a few weeks ago, Ford Performance launched a pair of new performance calibrations for the Ford Bronco Raptor and Ford Ranger Raptor, which help unlock a significant amount of power from the twin turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost used in both off-road, high-performance models – more than the F-150 Raptor, in fact – all for a reasonable cost of $825. Now, Ford Performance has revealed new calibrations for the Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor, or specifically, models equipped with the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, which ensures that owners of the latter can still enjoy a boost over Bronco Raptor and Ranger Raptor owners.
This new Ford Performance calibration is compatible with 2022-2023 Ford F-150 Raptor and 2021-2023 Ford F-150 pickups equipped with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, and adds significant power to those models. In fact, the calibration for the regular F-150 boosts peak horsepower by 50 and peak torque by 10 pound-feet, bringing it up to a Raptor-equalling 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
Meanwhile, 2022-2023 Ford F-150 Raptor (2021 isn’t included for some unknown reason) pickups get a bit of a boost as well, as this new calibration increases horsepower in those applications by 16 and torque by 44 pound-feet, which means that the high-performance off-road pickup can churn out a whopping 466 horsepower and 554 pound-feet, compared to its stock ratings of 450 and 510, as previously mentioned.
Both of these calibrations are slated to launch in the Ford Performance Parts catalog today, though as of this writing, neither is present there just yet. However, when the Ford F-150 calibrations do arrive, they’ll both retail for $825 and can also be purchased using FordPass Rewards Points. Customers can also purchase either calibration online and have their preferred local dealer install it afterward, as each is designed to meet the automaker’s durability standards and is covered by the vehicle’s three-year, 36,000-mile Ford Performance parts warranty.

The 3.0 I6 from Ram makes 540 hp, the 3.5 V6 from Ford in the F-150 must be outdated because it can’t even handle 475 hp. I honestly don’t understand why Ford won’t replace the base 3.5 and 3.5 hybrid with the 3.0 and 3.0 hybrid, the Nano engines are a more modern architecture. The 3.5 should come in only one tune, a tune that actually competes with the Hurricane High Output, at least. The Raptor should adopt a truck version of the GT’s 3.5 EcoBoost. And lastly, who wants to pay $825 for 16 hp?! Ford shouldn’t charge Raptor owners for this, they paid enough already for the truck itself!

Ford should have put a bit more meat on it than that, you can already get several tunes aftermarket making way more power than that. It’s also silly to not include Powerboost, AND not new 24s and 25s.
Ford should be launching these sorts of things with the launch of the new model years.
Aftermarket tunes void the manufacturer’s warranty and are not certified to the same durability standards.
Crank the horsepower up more, in turn trash it out faster, then buy a 5.0l!

The 21-23 ecoboost 3.5 engine produces 400 horsepower and 500 lb/ft of torque in stock form, so if the 55/100 figures are correct, that would push the totals to 455 HP and 600 lb/ft, not 450/510
If the 3.5L takes to the upgrade like the 2.7L does, these will be formidable towing and sport trucks. As far as problems go, the cam phaser issue seems to have been rectified in the later versions along with the leaks persistent in the Gen 1 engines. And the issues seem no worse than the valve train problems in the GM LS V8s. I have two EcoBoost Fords, both have provided excellent service and performance, I’d buy another in a heartbeat. How about a 7.3L EcoBoost with 750 hp and 900 lbs of torque?

$825 seems high to me. Ford would sell a lot more for $500 and still make a lot of money.
No answer seen. Is the mod available for the Powerboost? Those comparable numbers would put that motor at 481 hp and 580 lb. ft of torque. Nice upgrade.
I just got a quote from Ford Canada 🇨🇦 for the tune. The price was $1865 and that’s not even the dealership doing the ecu flash! That’s just the price of the parts!
