Roughly two years ago, The Blue Oval launched a new off-road suspension leveling kit for the 2021-2022 Ford F-150, which was developed in partnership between Ford and Bilstein. The leveling kit contained Bilstein “Tuned by Ford Performance” front coil-over assemblies and remote reservoir rear shocks, with full 60mm digressive pistons in a 2.65″ monotube Ford Performance tuned coilover package up front that lifts the truck by two inches at that end, but can go up to 2.5 inches with the installation of an optional front groove. However, that Ford F-150 leveling kit is now absent from the automaker’s catalog, replaced by a revised offering.
The new Ford F-150 off-road suspension kit is listed in the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-18000-F15BA, and retails for the same $1,750 as the outgoing kit. However, it now fits 2021-2024 Ford F-150 pickups – notable given the fact that this model received a refresh for the 2024 model year. Otherwise, it’s fairly similar to the old kit and was also developed in a partnership between Ford Performance and Bilstein.
Uniquely tuned and tested by Ford Performance Parts Engineering to optimize ride quality on and off paved surfaces, the 2021-2024 Ford F-150 off-road suspension kit fits all four-wheel drive pickups from those models years, with exclusions that include all two-wheel drive models., plus the F-150 Tremor, F-150 Raptor, F-150 Lightning, and models equipped with the 3.0L V6 Power Stroke diesel, 3.5L V6 PowerBoost Hybrid, and the Heavy-Duty Payload Package or Dynamic Suspension.
Otherwise, the new off-road suspension kit is a direct bolt-in replacement for the stock suspension and is designed to improve not only ride quality, but also, lift the front end by two inches to level out the stance of the Ford F-150. It includes the Ford Performance tuned coilover package with a full 60mm digressive piston and 2.65-inch monotube coilovers, along with remote rear reservoirs that house independent dividing pistons to separate nitrogen champers and optimize travel. Better yet, this new kit comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile when installed by a Ford Dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician for a little extra peace of mind.
