The 2024 model year is the last for the Ford Maverick in its current form, as the compact pickup is slated to get its very first refresh for 2025. However, after debuting with a base price of just under $20k, the Maverick has seen a steady flow of price increases since its debut in 2022, with the 2024 model getting more expensive across the entire lineup back in June 2023, while the XL was hit with another price increase in December. However, the 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid, specifically, was just treated to another price bump late in its production process.
According to CarsDirect, the 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid is now $250 more expensive than before, as the optional electrified powertrain now costs $1,750 versus its previous price of $1,500. This means that the 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid in base XL trim starts out at $27,265 with the mandatory destination fee of $1,595 included. The 2022 Maverick Hybrid (when the hybrid powertrain was standard) – had an MSRP of $21,490 with designation charges included after it launched – a significant $5,775 difference compared to the 2024 version.
What’s even more notable about this increase is the fact that the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid starts out at $27,890, which is a mere $625 pricier than the outgoing 2024 model. While some may prefer the exterior styling of the older Maverick versus the new one, the refreshed pickup has much more to offer in terms of tech and features, making it a far better value in that regard.
As for why Ford continues to jack up Maverick prices, well, supply has taken quite some time to catch up with demand, as many examples have sold for more than MSRP since that model originally launched. Regardless, we’re fairly certain to hit a tipping point eventually, as 2025 Maverick prices increased by a substantial amount when compared to the outgoing 2024 model as well – as much as $7,010 for the Tremor, in fact.

I don’t think this mentions the $5000-$20,0000 “additional dealer markup” that is being applied to the Mavericks of all price points because they are popular. Too bad you can’t buy direct from Ford and get one at the MSRP.
Bill did even you read the article? They not only mention the trucks selling over MSRP but they have a link to a detailed article about it. You make it sound like every Maverick is sold over MSRP. Not even close to the truth. Also, if you want to buy directly from Ford just order it on the web site. Sure the dealer is involved as the middle man but if they want a deposit for the order or you’re not happy with a dealer just walk away. For every fishy dealer there are many great dealers that dont play games. Do your homework, read dealer google reviews to find a good one.
I paid less than MSRP for my 2024 XL Hybrid. I was price protected since my 2023 order didn’t get built. My dealer did not add any ADM and honored the price protection discount from Ford.
I ordered a maverick xlt hybrid with luxury pkg from Ford Irvine, calif in July 2023 and received delivery Feb 2024. Nathan Hart was my sales rep, and ordered the maverick exactly as l ordered online from Ford. Everything was MSRP plus tax & license. No markup. Anyone looking to do the same I would recommend calling Nathan Hart internet sales rep. He is outstanding.
They are going to keep raising prices on this thing until they run out of buyers entirely.
