Though it just received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 model year, the Ford F-150 continues to get a handful of tweaks for 2025, regardless. None of these changes are what one might consider major, but at the same time, they’re certainly notable for anyone in the market for a 2025 Ford F-150. Now, it seems as if The Blue Oval has tweaked BlueCruise availability for the 2025 Ford F-150 lineup, too.
In the 2024 model year, the F-150 XLT – when equipped with the 302A or 303A equipment groups, as well as higher trims – offered three years of the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving assist feature as an option. However, the 2025 Ford F-150 lineup no longer offers a three-year option, and instead, select trims are available with a one-year BlueCruise option instead, which can be paired with the XLT (302A/303A), Lariat, and Tremor, and is standard on the King Ranch and Platinum.
For the properly-equipped XLT, Lariat, and Tremor, this one-year BlueCruise option costs an extra $495. However, the fact that it’s now standard equipment on the 2025 Ford F-150 King Ranch and Platinum for a full year represents a bit of an upgrade, since both trims only offered a 90-day free trial for the 2024 model year. As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Ford F-150 also no longer comes standard with the factory Connected Navigation feature on the XL and STX trims, which was previously standard across the 2024 F-150 lineup. Additionally, the 2025 Ford F-150 XLT will only offer Connected Navigation on the Mid (302A) and High (303A) equipment groups, though in that case, it does include a one-year trial for the service.
In addition to these updates, the 2025 Ford F-150 has deleted its previous factory-installed SecuriCode keypad, though that feature is still available as a dealer-installed option. For the 2024 model year, the SecuriCode keypad was included as standard equipment on the XLT trim and above, leaving only the base XL without it. However, the 2025 Ford F-150 has dropped that feature entirely, instead making the SecuriCode keypad a dealer-installed option for the XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor, all at an extra cost of $455.
Additionally, the 2025 Ford F-150 has dropped the previously-available Heritage Edition, which debuted back in June of 2022 for the 2023 model year as a bit of a retro throwback to the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, when two-tone paint jobs on Blue Oval pickups were all the rage. The Heritage Edition was also created to help celebrate the company’s 120th anniversary, as well as 75 years of the F-Series in general, and was available for the 2024 model year, but is now no longer offered for 2025.

Seems logical. They can’t update it in 3 years. Might as well drop it.
EXACTLY JOHN. I HAVE A 2022 F-150 THAT I PAID UP FRONT THE FORD $1995.00 OPTION FOR THE “WONDERFUL DON’T WORK” BLUE CRUISE. AND… YA YOUR RIGHT, I’AM STILL RUNNING ON THE OEM 1.0 SOFTWARE THAT THE TRUCK CAME WITH???? FORD APPARENTLY DON’T HAVE AN “IT” PERSON THAT KNOW’S HOW TO WRITE SOFTWARE AND SEND IT OUT OTA???? I HAVE GOTTEN NOWHERE WITH ANYONE AT FORD, AND I MEAN ANYONE. I’AV HAD AN OPEN CASE # FOR 2 MONTHS’S AND HAVEN’T HEARD ANYTHING FROM ANYONE AT FORD???? CRICKET’S!!! THEY OFFERED ME AN “OIL CHANGE PLAN” FOR THEIR INCONVENIENCE??? HOW STUPID IS THAT????
How about @Ford focusing on all the BlueCruise updates they’ve promised to F150 owners and then figuring out the subscription model later. I’m not about to dump money for a BlueCruise system that has missing features Ford gave to other models in their lineup.
I’AM WITH YA JERRY, IN THE VERY SAME BOAT???? I HAVE TALKED TO EVERYONE BUT BILL FORD AND JIM FARSLEY!!!
