2025 Ford Super Duty Also Ditches Factory SecuriCode Keypad

The Blue Oval has been gradually releasing information about the 2025 Ford Super Duty lineup, revealing changes on the way to the popular heavy duty pickup line. For example, the Super Duty range is getting standard gasoline V8 engines, while the Limited trim has been essentially replaced by Platinum Plus. Ford Authority has now learned of another change on its way to the 2025 Super Duty line, and it’s a familiar one that has affected other Ford vehicles: the factory SecuriCode keypad is going the wayside.

2023 Ford Super Duty

According to sources familiar with the matter, the SecuriCode keypad will not be installed on 2025 Ford Super Duty models right at the factory, although it’s not being axed completely. Interested customers can still add the handy feature to their heavy duty pickups, but it is now a dealer-installed option. At the time of this writing, pricing for the optional keypad has not been revealed.

That makes the 2025 Super Duty the latest vehicle in The Blue Oval’s stable to ditch the factory SecuriCode pad, replacing it with a dealer-installed option. Such is the case with the 2025 Ford F-150, along with the 2025 Ford Explorer, which also ditched the feature as a factory option. The refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport and Ford Maverick are also sticking with the dealer-installed option. Previously, the 2024 versions also went the same route.

As for what else is coming down the pike for the 2025 Ford Super Duty gang, the Platinum trim especially has some interesting inbound changes. It was treated to a soft refresh, which includes aesthetic updates such as a painted black grille and tailgate appliqué, along with body-color door handles. Inside the cab, it gets a new theme: Onyx Black with Platinum Blue accents.

As previously reported by Ford Authority, pricing for the 2025 Ford Super Duty kicks off at $45,300 for F-250 XL Regular Cab models, a bit pricier than the outgoing model.

Insanity, the money they make on these trucks and they are penny pinching. Its like the only thing ford has that no one else has. More bad decisions. I have been buying Fords with the door code since 1986. The dealer keypad looks like an aftermarket add on. I love the door code use it every day.

No keypad from factory, no deal.
Over 100k for a truck and that item is too costly?
Oh well, I’ve been thinking GMC and that little item has just convinced me to try something else.

Another dumb move by Ford with the keypad! We love it on our 2017 Fusion as I did on my 2008 F150. My 2019 F150 doesn’t have one and I miss it. If I’m outside working and want to drop my tailgate I have to get my keys being the tailgates lock now. Not a big deal but it was convenient!

One feature that distinguishes Ford from other brands. I went with Ford over Chevy, just because of this feature in the past. Bad decision.
