2025 Ford Super Duty Platinum Gets Some Interesting Updates

Coming off a full-blown redesign for the 2023 model year, the Ford Super Duty hasn’t missed a beat, as the heavy-duty hauler continues to rack up accolades for everything from initial quality to just being an appealing product. Ford Super Duty production continues to struggle to meet demand as well, which also may have something to do with Ford’s decision to expand it to a third facility – the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada. Regardless, time moves on in this hotly contested space, and as such, the 2025 Ford Super Duty Platinum has received some interesting updates for the new model year.

The 2025 Ford Super Duty Platinum, specifically, has been given a bit of its own refresh for the new model year, which is intended to give it a more premium appearance both outside and inside. The exterior features a painted black grille and tailgate appliqué, along with body-color door handles, while inside the cabin, the luxurious hauler has ben treated to a new Black Onyx theme with Platinum Blue accents.

On top of that, the 2025 Ford Super Duty is also now available with the new Platinum Plus Package, which makes for an even more luxurious experience in a number of ways. On the outside, the Platinum Plus gets a unique satin finish grille up front with bright chrome inserts, for starters. Inside, one will find a Smoked Truffle theme that’s unique to the Platinum Plus, along with perforated Venetian Leather seating surfaces with French stitching, and Max Recline seats. Rounding out this update is 2kW of Pro Power Onboard, which owners can use to power everything from tools to various other kinds of equipment on the go.

They’ll be receiving a personal gift, along with an automatic upgrade to Blue Tier status in the FordPass Rewards program – plus unlimited guided tours that help explain the truck’s many features, one-on-one texting privileges with product experts, and a 20 percent discount on Ford accessories during the first 90 days of ownership.

I can’t remember the last time I saw an F-150 or SD that WASN’T a Platinum. Moronic.

Ford makes the greatest trucks. Keep’em coming out with more innovations, I hate to suggest that Ford should copy features from other makes but you have to get excited about fender tool storage. (what a great idea) Let’s copy some of these other guys stuff and get rid of the Black Rims, that fad is over, go with Chrome.

I wonder if one of the innovations will be to hire some competent software developers that know how to deploy Blue Cruise updates on a reliable basis because it kills somebody.
