The Ford Authority Take

Ford Argentina sales healthy increase in August continues the brand’s strong sales streak in the South American country, where it has accumulated three consecutive months of growth. Although the 3,587 units sold represent a month-on-month decrease compared to the 4,241 July deliveries, the figure contributed to further reducing the rate of decline in the total for the year to date.

Unlike previous months, Ford Argentina’s solid performance in August was not led by the best-selling Ford Ranger but by four other models in the lineup. In particular, the Ford Maverick saw the most significant increase and added 425 units year-on-year, positioning itself as the brand’s second best-selling model last month.

Unfortunately, the Ford Ranger suffered a notable double-digit drop last month, interrupting the steady rise in popularity it had been experiencing. Still, the domestically-made midsize pickup continues to be very popular with local customers as the second best-selling truck in the country.
